助行设备在美国老年人群中防跌倒作用的现状分析

摘要： 本文分析各种助行设备(AAD)，包括助行器、助行车、手杖等对美国老年使用者姿态、步态的影响及其与跌倒的关系；分析了为什么即使有AAD的帮助，老年人跌倒现象还是频繁出现。提出要在社区医疗服务中对老年人AAD的使用情况进行评估，并向他们宣传和培训正确使用AAD的知识，以便帮助老年人合理地使用AAD，尽可能地避免跌倒的发生。

Abstract: This paper analyzed the problems existing with the usage of assistive ambulatory devices (AADs) among older adults in America and proposed solutions to improve these problems. The effects of AADs － walker, rollator, and cane － on gait and posture of older adults were assessed. Also, the relationships between AAD usage, fall occurrence, and why older adults continue to fall despite use of AADs were analyzed. It was suggested that in order to prevent from falls among older adults in the community routine assessment and training in correct AAD use should be performed.
